Rooms for a cover story

Set design in Dubai for a GQ Man of the Year cover story. Coloured walls, floors and doorways created several settings for the portraits.

Behind the set

From layout to shoot

A project layout shows a blue wall with a doorway, a green wall behind it and a matching blue floor. — Project layout: a doorway connects the coloured spaces.

What we did

We developed a series of room layouts, pairing coloured wall surfaces with matching floors. Doorways and overlapping walls created depth for the portraits. A separate red setting extended around a car.

The result

The blue and green setting appeared on the GQ Middle East Man of the Year 2022 cover. The wider story also included seated portraits, a column setting and the car.
